Moving Out

- Tenants wishing to vacate are required to provide at least 28 days notice in writing to the agent.  Fax and email are acceptable but you should always contact us to check that it has been received.  We write back to you confirming receipt of your advice.

- Tenants are contacted to discuss access arrangements for showing prospective tenants through, your co-operation is greatly appreciated.

- Rent is payable until keys are returned.

- Keys are required to be returned by close of business on the day you vacate (5.30pm Monday - Friday, 1.00pm Saturday).

- So many tenants underestimate what a big job moving house is.  Often it takes longer than planned and the sacrifice is usually the cleaning.  Please plan your move and your clean well before your vacate date.  Many cleaning jobs can be done ahead of time such as dusting light fittings, replacing light globes, cleaning fronts of cupboard doors, etc.

- Remember to redirect your mail.

- The bond inspection is done as soon as possible after you return your keys.

- All tenants are required to sign a bond claim form which is then sent to the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority which in turn deposits funds directly into your account or forwards a cheque (whichever option you prefer).

- We are happy to provide tenants with print out of their payment record if required.  Think about what a great reference this would be if you had in fact paid on time every month.
